McCauley Nicolas has been named a winner of the 2009 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility! This is the second year that businesses in the greater Louisville community were able to apply for the prestigious award, which recognizes organizations that are dedicated to making work "work" for both the employer and the employees. The scoring process was rigorous. First, employer responses were measured against national data collected by the Families and Work Institute. Then, our employees were surveyed regarding their individual experiences with flexibility and other aspects of an effective workplace. One third of the final score was determined by employer responses and two-thirds by employees' responses. As a winner, McCauley Nicolas ranks in the top 20% of employers nationally in terms of flexible work programs, policies and culture. The firm also won in 2008.
